Small plastic clamps that close and lock over a cord, sized for puppies and kittens rather than human newborns.

Most litters need none of these. They earn their place in the kit for the one puppy whose cord keeps seeping after tying, where a clamp holds pressure without you having to sit there pinching it while five other puppies need attention. Ten is roughly two litters worth of insurance.

Clamp back from the body wall, not tight against it, and leave it in place until the stump has dried. If a cord is still bleeding after clamping, that is a call to the vet, not a second clamp.
