Everything a New Puppy Needs
A starter pack is the shortcut for a first time owner. Rather than assembling twenty items across four shops, it covers the first fortnight in one purchase, which is the fortnight nobody has time to shop in.

Daily essentials kits
The puppy daily essentials kit at around $176 is the core option.
Interactive toy sets
Around $40. Puzzle and chew toys, which do more for a settling puppy than any number of soft toys.
Worming
Milbemax for dogs under 5kg, available in the 50 tablet pack at around $180 for breeders or single packs for owners. Puppies need worming every two weeks until twelve weeks old, which surprises most new owners.
What Is Usually Missing
A crate or pen, an enzyme cleaner for accidents, and the same food the puppy has been eating. Buy a fortnight of the breeder's food even if you intend to switch, then change over across a week rather than a day.
First Fortnight Priorities
Toilet routine, sleep, and gentle handling. Everything else can wait. A puppy that sleeps enough and toilets predictably is a puppy that learns; an overtired one is not.
